NFL's Week 10 Match Ups & Picks

Week 10 in the NFL is already here, the season is flying by. This weeks match ups-

Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts- Both teams are coming of losses and Peyton Manning is finding life difficult with the injuries to his receiving corp. Colts find a way to win at home, capitilizing on Carson Palmer mistakes.

New York Jets at Cleveland Browns- Fun game with the Ryan brothers facing each other. Rex watched the film of the Patriots, Browns game carefully, The Jets will be ready for Hillis. With a better defense then the Patriots have, the Jets win and Rex gets bragging rights over his bro.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears- Tough divisional game, with both QB's capable of throwing multiple picks. Vikings should win if they limit Favres mistakes and utilize Petersen.

Tennessee Titans at Miami Dolphins - Interesting game. Randy Moss makes his Titans debut, Chad Pennington makes his first star of the season, and Vince Young may or may not be ready to go. A lot going on in this game. The QB situation makes this a difficult pick, I go with the Dolphins who have been horrible at home, but find a way to win today.

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars- The Texans season started with such promise now at .500 they look to make a run to the playoffs. The Jaguars will be without Kampman, for the rest of the year. Schaub winless against the Jaguars for his career gets his first W, with the help of NFL leading rusher, Foster.

Detroit Lions at Buffalo Bills- The Lions are without Stafford again, and playing on the road. Buffalo picks up its first win of the season.

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Clausen is the starting QB again with Moore out. The rookie has struggled this year, and needs to cut down on his picks. Tampa Bay wins this one.

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos- My upset pick. Playing at home, with a disappointing 2-6 record, Denver pulls the upset. Matt Cassel will make mistakes and the Broncos will capitalize.

St. Louis Rams at San Francisco 49ers- Troy Smith gets another start for the 49ers who need to win out to turn their season around. They get an impressive win today over the 1st place Rams.

Dallas Cowboys at NY Giants- The Giants defense is playing as well as anyone. They'll keep pressure on Kitna and Giants prevail.

Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals- Hasselbeck is back for the Seahawks and should lead Seattle to a victory.

New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers- Game between two playoff teams. Pittsburghs offense should be able to move the ball and score on the Patriots. If New England can't establish any kind of running game, it's going to be another bad day for the Patriots. The Steelers win at home.]

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins-  Lot of rumors out of Washington concerning McNabb, they veteran QB can't get a break. The Eagles avenge the earlier season loss to the Redskins.

Week 9 in the NFL

Week 9 of the NFL. brings some interesting match ups:

Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders- Who would've thought these two teams would be playing this well. Both teams are coming off victories, and both are running the ball well. The edge goes to Oakland, because they're playing at home. Look for their running game to get the job done.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons- Great match up between divisional rivals. Matt Ryan and the Falcons, edge this one out, the Buccaneers are good, but prone to mistakes, which hurts you on the road.

Indianapolis Colts at Philadelphia Eagles- One of the most interesting games. Colts coming off a big win against the Texans and the Eagles are coming off a bye. Vick gets the start and the Eagles get the win.

Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers- The beginning of the year, this game looked like an NFC Championship preview, now it looks like a Packers win at home. Even with the injuries the Pack should have enough to take care of the Boys. Where's McGee, and why aren't we seeing what the young man can do?

New York Jets at Detroit Lions- Jets coming off a bad loss at home, failing to score a point last week. Ryan is angry, and the Jets need a convincing win to calm their coach and get the teams confidence back, they get it this week.

Chicago Bears at Buffalo Bills- Bills still looking for their first win, and they'll still be looking after this week. the Bears defense allows Chicago to get the win.

San Diego Chargers at Houston Texans- San Diego will probably be without Antonio Gates. They're receiving unit is thin, as Jackson isn't eligible. Close game, will come down to turnovers.

New England Patriots at Cleveland Browns- New England is feeling good about itself, bad news for the Browns. Patriots win.

Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings- While Arizona continues to play musical QB's, the Vikings will have Brett Favre under center. The Vikings defense should have a good game, and lead the team to victory.

Miami Dolphins at Baltimore Ravens- This will be a close game. The Ravens defense will need to play well, and keep the Dolphins offense off the field. Playing at home, the Ravens should win.

New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers- Saints coming off an impressive win against the Steelers last week, should continue to roll against the Panthers.

New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks- Charlie Whitehurst gets his first start, and it's against the New York Giants defense, tough match up. His offensive line will have to play well, to give the young QB a chance. Giants win this game if Eli takes care of the ball.

Monday night.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals- Steelers make up for last weeks performance, and their defense continues to make Carson Palmer look like a QB who's just about finished.

NFL Week 8 Half Way Point

At the half way point, there are some big games for teams with playoff hopes.

Miami at Cincinnati
The Dolphins are coming off a  tough loss to the Steelers, and Cincinnati has been awful. Carson Palmer is battling a hip injury, but he's played poorly all year. Look for a Dolphins rebound.

Buffalo at Kansas City
Bills played well last week, but they go into tough Kansas City and the Chiefs running game will be to much for the Bills to handle.

Washington at Detroit
Redskins won a close won last week. Matthew Stafford is back for Detroit. This should be a close one, Lions capable of stealing a home win.

Jaguars at Cowboys
No Tony Romo, maybe the Cowboys will use their running backs more. Kitna is a former starter and is capable. Garrard is coming off an injury for the Jag's and is playing for his career the rest of the way. Cowboys can win this one at home.

Packers at Jets
At the start of the season some thought this could be a super bowl preview. The Pack have struggled lately with the injuries catching up to them.  The o-line isn't healthy, a dangerous thing considering the Jets defense which will have Revis back. If Sanchez protects the ball, the Jets win.

Broncos at 49ers (London)
49ers will be have another Smith under center, Troy as they face the Broncos. 49ers defense will have its hands full with the passing game of the Broncos. Hard to call an international game. Broncos have the edge because of their QB.

Panthers at Rams
Panthers finally have a win.  The Rams are coming off a game they should have won. Rams rebound and get a victory.

Titans at Chargers
If San Diego has any hope for the season they need to win this game. They still are struggling to field healthy receivers. To win the defense must come up big for the Chargers.

Vikings at Patriots
This is a playoff game for Minnesota. It may also be the season for Brett Favre depending on how his ankle holds up. The Vikings o-line must protect Brett, and hopefully the Vikings will use Peterson more. Game will come down to turnovers.

Seahawks at Raiders
Raiders put up 59 in a win last week, and will need another great performance by McFadden with the injuries to their receivers. Close game, defense and running game will win it.

Buccaneers at Cardinals
Bucs game from behind and stole one last week, while the Cardinals lost. Bucs should win if they protect the ball.

Steelers at Saints
Saints need a win, a difficult task against the Steelers defense, especially with the Saints running game struggling.

Texans at Colts
Peyton Manning will move heaven and earth to get his team a victory against the Texans. Don't bet against Peyton in big games, and this is a big game for the Colts.

2010 Dallas Cowboys, There's Always Next Year

After a Monday night when they lost more then the game, the Dallas Cowboys season is over, where the playoffs are concerned.  Though the playoffs may be out of the picture,  Dallas can still gain experience for young receiver Dez Bryant, and the possible emergence of young QB, Stephen McGee.

This is the former Texas A & M QB's second season in the NFL, and even though veteran back up Jon Kitna is available, the Cowboys should start McGee. There's a youth movement going on in the NFL at the QB position in the NFL, and the Cowboys should see what McGee has.

The Cowboys play the Jags at home next week, I doubt it will happen, but I say put McGee in.  With Romo out for possibly the year, it's an opportunity to develop your young QB.

NFL Week 7 Favre Goes Back to Green Bay

Week 7 of the NFL is here, key game features the Vikings going into Green Bay.

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers- The Packers are hurting, the Vikings are disappointing. Coming off a needed win against Dallas last week, the Vikings need to keep winning to become playoff bound. Aaron Rodgers could have a tough day facing the Vikings 7th ranked defense, and tough defensive line, the Packers will need to find a running game to help their QB. Favre needs to keep his picks down for the Vikings to win.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs- Coach Del Rio is probably done after this season. Todd Bouman is the QB today for Jacksonville, and the Chiefs need and should win this game after back to back losses.

Buffalo Bills at Baltimore Ravens- My heart goes out to the Buffalo Bills who have to travel to Baltimore and face a Ravens team that's coming off a loss in a game they think they should've won against the Patriots. If the Bills all come out healthy, that's a win for a team, that will probably pick 1st in the 2011 draft.

Cleveland Browns at New Orleans Saints- Another tough match up for rookie Colt McCoy, who played well last week against a tough Steelers defense. The Saints win this one, but it'll be interesting to see if McCoy continues to improve and solidify his claim as the Browns starter.

San Francisco 49ers at Carolina Panthers- Another must win for Alex Smith, and Mike Singletary. Panthers go back to Matt Moore this week. 49ers must win on the road for any hope of saving their season.

St. Louis Rams at Tampa Bay Buccanneers- Game features two good young QB's. The Rams are the surprise of the year so far, and Tampa Bay has also played well. This should be a close game, coming down to turn overs.

Washington Redskins at Chicago Bears- Two teams with horrible offensive lines meet. Though, the Bears o-line is as bad as I've ever seen. Martz has to create a game plan that keeps his QB upright, screens, more use of the running game. Cutler won't survive the season at this rate. Redskins offense is without Portis again, and Cooley is questionable.

Cincinnati Bengals at Atlanta Falcons- I'm not sure what's happened to Carson Palmer, but he's not playing like a good QB right now. This will be a tough match-up for the Bengals and if Palmer continues to be ineffective and turn the ball over, the Bengals lose again.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Miami Dolphins- Good test for the Dolphins offense going against the Steelers. Big Ben in his 2nd game back, should have the offense in good shape. Steelers can make a statement to the AFC with a win in Miami.

Philadelphia Eagles at Tennessee Titans- Kolb led Eagles versus the Collins run Titans. Eagles defense will have to control the Titans running game, and take care of the ball. With Desean Jackson hurting, the Eagles offense has to control the clock and keep Titans offense off the field, but a good Titans defense will make that difficult and the home team wins a close one.

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks - A NFC West battle, that could help determine the winner of this week division. The Cardinals start rookie Hall again, and the Seahawks new running back, Lynch, has had another week to get familiar with his new team. If the Hawks defense can keep pressure on the young QB and force him into mistakes, they win.

Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos-  After a disappointing loss, the Broncos will make the Raiders pay.  Jason Campbell will start for the Raiders, who'll be improving the New England Patriots 1st round draft pick.

New England Patriots at San Diego Chargers- This is a playoff game for the Chargers, they need a victory at 2-4.  If a hurting Gates is unable to go, it'll be a big blow for the 5th ranked offense. Hopefully for the Chargers, the Patriots have jet lag and come out flat. Will be a tough game for Chargers who's injuries have left them with Crayton, and Goodman as their starting receivers.

Monday night
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
Big game for the Cowboys who at 1-4 have a long road to the playoffs.  The Giants defense has played well as of late, and they'll need to get after Tony Romo, to help the offense. Eli Manning must eliminate his turnovers to help the offense and sustain drives to help defense.

Week 6 Big Hits, Blown Calls

Another week in the 2010 NFL football year:

Tonights match-up, Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars. If Titans can run the ball, they win the game. Not an exciting match-up no disrespect for either team.

Re-Cap from earlier games
Andre Johnson and the Houston Texans received a lucky break on a blown pass interference call.

Kevin Kolb proves he belongs leads the Eagles to victory.

Big Ben has a successful return back to the field, guides the Steelers to victory.

Welcome back Deion Branch, the former Patriots receiver has a great game his first game back after being traded from Seattle.

Jerry Jones thinks the Cowboys can still make the playoffs even after losing to the Vikings leaving them with a 1-4 record.

Dolphins beat up a hurt Packers team. Green Bay is football's version of the Boston Red Sox this year.

St. Louis Rams are 3-3 with a rookie QB, and improved play on defense. San Diego Chargers are imploding earlier then usual.

Saints look super again with victory over Bucs.

Giants continue to roll, this time over the Lions.

49ers get their first victory of the season over the Raiders, get the champagne.

Jets defeat the Broncos in a tough game in Denver.

Colts defeat Redskins, and I still say something doesn't look right with Peyton Manning.

NFL Week 6 Preview Must Win Games

As week 6 games begin, there are a lot of must win games on tap.

Oakland Raiders at San Francisco 49ers- This is a must win game for Mike Singletary and Alex Smith. If the 49ers don't get their first win of the season, it will likely be the end of Singletary's career in San Fran. Also if Smith doesn't perform well, those cries for David Carr will be answered.

Dallas Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings-  After losses to the Titans and Jets, both these teams need a win to keep any hope of the playoffs alive. Brett Favre should start, but we'll have to see how his elbow holds up. Both these teams turn the ball over, so the winner will be the one who holds on to the ball.

New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Coming off a loss to the Cardinals last week the Super Bowl champs need a win against their divisional opponent. Tampa Bay has been a surprise, this season, but I think Drew Brees leads his team to victory even with a struggling running game that's missing Reggie Bush, and Pierre Thomas.

Detroit Lions at New York Giants- The Lions will be without Stafford again, facing a Giants team, that's playing some real good football, especially on the defensive side of the ball.  The defense should dominate again, and make life difficult for Shaun Hill especially if the injury to Calvin Johnson's arm/shoulder limits him.

Kansas City Chiefs at Houston Texans- Both teams are coming off a loss. Andre Johnson is still sore, but should play and the Texans win at home.

Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots- Should be one of the best games of the week. Patriots first game without Moss, against a tough Ravens defense. Flacco hasn't been as good on the road as he's been at home, but if the Ravens can run the ball it'll open things up for Flacco.

Miami Dolphins at Green Bay Packers- The Packers are the MASH unit right now, with the rash of injuries they've had. Aaron Rodgers should play after his concussion last week. Things will be tough going without his starting tight ends, out with injuries. Clay Matthews Jr. is also listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. The Dolphins need to win to keep pace with the Jets, and Patriots. If Rodgers struggles the Dolphins can steal a win in Green Bay.

Seahawks at Chicago Bears- Jay Cutler is another QB recovering from a concussion. The Seahawks are without the services of Deion Branch, traded to New England. After a gutsy win last week, the Bears should get a home win against Seattle.

Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles- Kevin Kolb gets his second straight start, with Michael Vick still injured.  If Kolb plays well, the Eagles get the home win. Matt Ryan has looked good this year, but may struggle on the road against he Eagles defense.

Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers- Big Ben is back under center, and the Browns counter with Colt McCoy because of injuries to their 2 starters. Good Luck Colt against that defense, you're going to need it.

San Diego Chargers at St. Louis Rams- The Chargers have struggled this year and coming off a loss to the Oakland Raiders, they need to win this game against the Rams.

New York Jets at Denver Broncos- I'll be surprised if Revis plays this week, although there is a great temptation to have them out there against such a good passing team. Tough game for the Jets going to Denver. Sanchez must continue to protect the ball, and the running game will need to take pressure off the young QB.

Indianapolis Colts at Washington Redskins- I watched Peyton Manning during the Chiefs game last week, and he looked un-Peyton like. The Colts offense struggled. I know they're dealing with injuries, but something doesn't seem right, Peyton and his receivers didn't look in sync. They get back on track against the Redskins.
